Performance
Performance at Lehigh is where artistry meets opportunity. Unlike many B.A. programs, our students are welcome to perform every semester, from their very first year to their last. Auditions are open to majors and non-majors alike, creating an ensemble culture that reflects the full spirit of our campus. Students move fluidly across styles—classical plays, musicals, devised theatre, socially engaged work, and experimental performances that merge media and technology. Each production becomes a laboratory where students stretch their craft and take risks, supported by a community that values courage as much as polish.
What makes us distinctive is the access and mentorship we provide. Our students work side by side with nationally recognized, award-winning faculty who are also active theatre artists. Professional practice informs every rehearsal and classroom, giving students the tools and the insight to grow as performers in the 21st century.
Lehigh performance alumni continue this journey in remarkable ways: some pursue M.F.A.s at top programs like Yale, NYU, and Columbia; others have appeared on Broadway, in national tours, and in regional theatres across the country. Their success affirms what begins here—actors who lead, collaborators who innovate, and storytellers who understand that performance is not just entertainment but a force for connection and change.
